It will be on Thursday the 6th of May and we will be meeting at the home of President Ralph Miller at 5:30 pm. Mike Bellinger made a motion for the club to provide Hotdogs, chips and beverage for those that participate. Faron Cronk seconded the motion and all those present were in favor. Stan Miller said that being the first clean up this year, we are going to need a lot of members to help out. He also said to bring your work gloves. The club received an invitation from Town Highway Supervisor Ray Clark of the Town of Orwell to take part in their Orwell Old Home Days Parade on the 12th of June. Those that can make it should meet at the Orwell Town Barn by no later than 11:15 am. Directions to the Town Barn will be provided in our club’s RIDE / EVENT section. We have not been able to get in touch with the management of the Riverside Campgrounds to see about our Brasher Falls Camp-Out on July 16th and 17th. Nancy and Ray Bouchard will be stopping in there within the very near future and will see what they can find out for us. We are still looking into the possibility of renting the whole backend of the campgrounds for that weekend. We talked about the club doing a Chicken BBQ to help raise some additional funds to help us reserve our sites for our Brasher Falls trip. President Miller will approach one of our members, John Munson, to see if he would like to be chairman for this event. We would like to see if we could hold it at the Lacona Fireman’s Field. We hope to know more on this at our May’s Meeting. President Ralph Miller will be picking up the club’s tractor on the 30th of April. He will be bringing it to his residence to get it ready for parades and to have the club use this summer. He will need some members to help get it painted. Once painted, we are hoping that Widrick’s will still donate $500 to our club. Ralph Miller told us of a trip to Canada for those who might be interested. There is a cabin that will accommodate up to 16 people. This area has many miles of trails. If some are interested, contact him at 387-3589. *Note- - A special insurance sticker is required to go into Canada. Faron Cronk asked those present, if he should look into some new signs for us to display on the lead four-wheelers in the parades and on the tractor. Mike Bellinger told us that our banner was getting to be in rough shape. Faron advised us that he had a quote of about $45 for each sign from Dynamic Designs in Mexico. Stan Miller made the motion for Faron to go ahead and purchase 2 signs from them. Mike Bellinger seconded the motion and all those present were in favor. Mike Bellinger brought to the club that our friends from the Rivergate Wheelers were looking for donations for their Rescue Sled Drive. Our donation would not only be going for a good cause, but they will also be listing our club’s name on it. Roger Clark made the motion for the club to donate $100. Shawn Gallagher seconded the motion and all those present were in favor. Ed McGrew and Ralph Miller advised us that there has been a delay in talks with one of our landowners, due to them having a family emergency. They will try to get up with them in the next couple of weeks. Once confirmed, we will need helpers for clearing trails. A work detail has been planned for the 29th of April in Community Park at 5:30 pm. Bring your four-wheelers. We are going to clear out about three trees that have fallen onto our trail. Some mud holes will have to be trenched also. Our next meeting will be on Saturday the 15th of May at 10:00 am. This will be a meeting and ride. The club will be providing hamburgers and hotdogs.
