Raffle Is Over and we have a winner!!
We are pleased to announce to the state’s OHV clubs that this year’s Co-op ATV Fundraising Raffle Program was a success on par with past years, thank to the help of the clubs who participated. The drawing was held on Saturday, November 9 at the Open House of Cycle Enterprises II and the winner of the 2002 Arctic Cat 375 4x4 was Rocco Zasa of Utica off a ticket distributed through the Northern NY chapter of NYTRO. The winning ticket was distributed by club member Doug Gaylord who gets a $100 recognition gift, and the $250 recognition gift for the club selling the most tickets this year goes to Adirondack Dirt Devils.

Each ticket distributed by a participating club resulted in a donation of $2.50 to the club and $2.50 to NYSORVA. Tickets distributed directly by NYSORVA resulted in a donation of $5.00 each to your state association.
Our thanks to NYSORVA VP and NYTRO/CNY director Joann Wemes for the unenviable task of once again bringing this statewide program to a close in a well organized manner and for overseeing a fair drawing.
And we would be remiss if we did not also thank Arctic Industries and their New York Dealers for their donation in full of the ATV to make this program possible.
Previous ATV donors were: 1999-Honda Motor Corp of America (Forman 450 4wd), 2000-Polaris Industries (400 4wd) and 2001-Yamaha Motor Corp of America (400 4wd).

Best Regards,
Alex Ernst

Club Rides!

Plans are already in the works for some rides for next season! Some rides we are working on are as follows, if you have any ideas or input please contact one of our ride planners!

Brasher Falls Weekend!
It was such a great trip, good riding, trails, and company so we are planning to do it again in the coming year! Be prepared as we get the dates and arrangements set. We will get the word out in a following issue of the newsletter!

Hatfield / McCoy Trail System trip!
This will be a trip to the Famous Hatfield / McCoy Trail system in Southern West Virginia. We are getting the information together for a fun filled trip to this famous trail system. We have a lot of details to arrange to make a trip like this work. If you have any information or ideas feel free to help make the plans. You can check out the official website for the trail system at www.trailsheaven.com. This ride would be more than just an overnight due to the travel, maybe leave on a Wednesday and return on a Sunday.

Of course we will still have many different one-day rides to include a ride on the Rivergate trail in Clayton, a couple rides on Tug Hill, maybe a ride in the Brantingham area and I am sure we can come up with others as well! Be prepared and come to a meeting to share your input!

Events!

December 1st Watertown Christmas PARADE!
Plans are in the works to be a part of the Watertown Christmas Parade. YES, Riding your ATV down State Street and around Public Square! Looks like our club will be designing one float for the parade, and member’s help will be needed. We will also need to know how many would like to take part in the parade, So if you would like to ride your ATV, help with the float or something else please contact Mike Bellinger at (315) 785-6811. This will be a great opportunity to show off our club.

A Tractor and Loader!

We have made a purchase! We are now the owners of an International 424 tractor. This tractor is equipped with an industrial loader frame, but we still have to purchase an appropriate bucket, and the necessary controls for the hydraulic dump. Once we receive the rest of the funds from the grant program, we will move forward to purchase the remaining items and have the parts fitted to the tractor and loader. The Tractor has been delivered to the home of Communications Director David Beyer in Watertown. Any members wishing to see the tractor or with knowledge for locating the needed additions or controls can contact David at (315) 782-5280.

There is much work to be done now, clearing and signing trails for the 2003 riding season, to include the routes thru the county property that we are responsible for.
